If you’re looking for a cuddly companion that’s a little bit different, look no further. Our Purple Manatee Sea Cow Soft Toy is 30cm of pure squishy charm, inspired by one of the ocean’s most gentle and fascinating creatures. Whether you’re shopping for a newborn, a curious toddler, or a sea-life-obsessed adult, this plushie is guaranteed to make someone smile.
Why a Manatee? Why Not!
Manatees — sometimes called sea cows — are slow-moving, peaceful ocean mammals known for their round, friendly faces and gentle nature. They’re not the most common soft toy on the shelf, which makes this plushie genuinely special. Giving a child a manatee introduces them to a lesser-known sea creature, sparking curiosity and a love of ocean wildlife from a very early age.
Safe From Day One
This plushie is suitable from birth, which is brilliant news for parents and gift-givers. It’s made from 100% polyester, is wonderfully soft to the touch, and conforms to EU safety standards with a CE symbol. You can feel confident popping this in the cot or pram without a second thought.
Gift Ideas for Every Occasion

- Birthday presents — unique enough to stand out from the usual suspects
- Ocean or under-the-sea themed nurseries — adds a gorgeous pop of purple
- Gifts for adults — yes, plushies are for grown-ups too!

Developmental Benefits of Soft Toys
Soft toys aren’t just cute — they play a real role in early childhood development. Cuddling a plushie helps babies develop their sense of touch and provides comfort and emotional security. As children grow, soft toys become characters in imaginative play, helping to build storytelling skills, empathy, and creativity. A manatee plushie can also be a wonderful conversation starter about marine life and ocean conservation.
Caring for Your Manatee
The good news? This plushie is machine washable, so you don’t need to panic when it ends up covered in snacks or dragged through the garden. Here are a few care tips to keep your manatee looking its best:
- Wash on a gentle or delicate cycle at 30°C
- Place inside a mesh laundry bag to protect the fabric
- Reshape gently while damp and allow to air dry
- Avoid tumble drying to preserve the softness
With the right care, this little sea cow will stay soft and snuggly for years to come. Browse more ocean friends and cuddly companions in our shop.
