How to Care for Your Plushie
Follow these simple steps and your plushies will stay irresistibly soft for years to come.
Spot Check First
Before washing, check the care label attached to your plushie. Most are machine-washable but some special editions require hand-washing only.
Spot Clean Small Marks
For minor stains, use a clean damp cloth with a drop of mild soap. Gently dab — never scrub — then blot dry with a clean towel.
Use a Pillowcase
For a deeper machine wash, place your plushie inside a pillowcase or laundry bag and tie it closed. This protects it from tumbling damage.
Gentle 30°C Cycle
Set your machine to a delicate cycle at 30°C with a mild, non-biological detergent. Avoid fabric softener — it flattens the fibres over time.
Air Dry Flat
Never tumble dry. Lay your plushie flat on a clean towel in a well-ventilated area. Reshape while damp. Full drying takes 6–12 hours.
Restore the Fluff
Once completely dry, use a soft pet brush or your fingers to gently brush the fur back to life. Work in the direction of the fibres with light strokes.
